EVENT REGISTRATION PROCESS 

SwapCard is our virtual venue, to get inside you need to get tickets from Eventbrite.

Get your tickets from Eventbrite: 

  1. Go to the event listing: https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/blaksound-2021-tickets-166133879907

  2. Select "Tickets" and choose which tickets to register for.

  3. Fill out registration information.

  4. Click "Place order".

  5. Find your tickets

  6. After you've got your ticket confirmation via email, return to this page to activate and/or log in to SwapCard with the same email address

  7. Once you are logged in to SwapCard, connect with other BLAKSOUND delegates!

  8. Stay deadly ;)

     

EVENT LOGIN PROCESS

Below are the most common scenarios you can encounter while trying to login to the SwapCard platform.

1. I did not receive Login Email: The login email or the "magic link" email is an automated email that is sent to you once your Eventbrite ticket information is synced with Swapcard. This email is sent from hello@swapcard.com and if you do not see it in your inbox it most likely could be in your spam folder or might be blocked by your company's firewall if you are using your work email address.

If your company is blocking our email, please have them whitelist "noreply@swapcard.com" & "hello@swapcard.com" and then go to the login page to receive a new magic link email after enteringthe email address you used to register for the event.

If you have recently registered and have not yet received a login email, it's possible that your registration data has not yet been synced with our platform. Please wait for the login email or check your spam or junk email.  The email comes from "noreply@swapcard.com" or "hello@swapcard.com". If you're not getting any email, even after having asked your company to whitelist our email addresses, please contact us.

2. The Magic Link Expired: The magic link email has a security token personalized for your email address which expires within an hour or once you click on the link. If you think your magic link may have expired, please request for a new one at the login page

 

3. My email address not recognized: If your email address is not recognized, it means that you've either registered for your event with a different email address or there was an email typo at registration or when you tried to login.

Please note that If you have recently registered and have not yet received a login email, it's possible that your registration data has not yet synced with our platform. Please wait for the login email or check your spam or junk email.  The email comes from "noreply@swapcard.com" or "hello@swapcard.com".

 

4. Asking for an event code upon login: If you are asked for an event code upon login, please make sure you are logged in with the same email address with which you are registered. If you are using the same email and still being asked for a code,  it's possible that your registration data has not yet been synced with our platform. Please wait for the login email or check your spam or junk email.  The email comes from "noreply@swapcard.com" or "hello@swapcard.com".

 

MY PROFILE

How do I add a photo to my profile? 

  • If you do not have a profile picture when you log in to the application, you will be offered to add one. 

  • Click on Add your picture, select the photo you want to have as a profile picture and then crop it (see below). Once the photo has been cropped, you can validate it by clicking on ✓ at the top right of your screen.

  • If you did not want to add a profile picture during your connection, you can still add one by going to the My Profile tab.

  • Here, click on the box with your name and then on Edit in the box with your empty profile picture.

  • You will arrive on the next page and by clicking on the empty circle of your profile photo, you will be able to select a photo and then crop it as explained above.

  • You can also take a photo when editing your photo by clicking on “Camera”.

 

Why am I asked “Confirm your new information”?

At times the organiser of the event you are attending may have modified or uploaded additional information to your profile (such as business category or professional area). You can choose to either accept or decline this information.

How to add a bio to my profile?

The biography will allow you to introduce yourself in a few words. To add a bio, go to the My Profile tab and then click Edit in the Bio box. Describe yourself in a few words then go back to save.

How to link my social media to my profile?

It is possible to add many social media to your profile:

  1. Go to the “My Profile” tab.

  2. Click on the box with your name to arrive in your profile then click on Edit in the Social Media box.

  3. Add the usernames of the social media you want to add to your profile. No need to save, just go back.

 

It is important to add only the username and not the entire URL corresponding to the profile of each of your social media.

What information in my profile is accessible to other participants?

Public profile information, accessible by all participants of the event:

  • First name

  • Last Name

  • Job title

  • Company

  • Biography

  • Social Networks (if completed)

  • Skills (if completed)

 

The information on my profile is that of someone else.

It is possible that, during your connection, you see a profile which corresponds to that of one of your colleagues (for example). This happens when two (or more) people have registered for an event with the same email address.

MY PROFILE

I forgot my password, what can I do?

If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it via the login page. Insert your email address and click on Send me a magic link. You will receive a link to reset your password on your mailbox.

How do I change my password?

If you want to change your password, go to Settings on your web app, then click on change password in the Password section.

How do I add an email to my account?

To add an email address to your account, go to My profile on your web app, then click on the Settings tab. In the email address section, click on add an email address and insert it. You will receive an email on this new address asking you to confirm that it belongs to you.

Once confirmed, you can log in to your account with this new email address.

How do I access Swapcard’s terms and conditions?

To get to the terms and conditions, go to My profile, then click on the Terms and conditions tab. You will get redirected to a page displaying all our legal notices.

How do I delete my account? 

To delete your account, go to the Settings tab on the web app. Then, in the delete account section, click on Delete my account.

Caution: this action is non-reversible. You will lost all your information, as well as your contacts, messages and events
